Recruitment Consultations

Talent Solutions consults with hiring officials across the University to plan and execute successful SHRA and EHRA recruitments. Your Talent Consultant can work with you to develop effective job descriptions, write supplemental questions, screen applicant pools, develop interview questions and even participate in onsite interviews.

Search Committee Orientation

Talent Consultants can provide training and guidance to search committees as they prepare for and carry out recruitments.  Training includes effective recruitment strategies, requirements and legal considerations, and best practices to attract and hire the best possible talent.

Reduction in Force (RIF) Consultations

In the event that an employee is separated from the University due to a reduction in force (RIF), Talent Solutions Consultants will work with the employee to support them in the transition to seeking new employment.  Consultations may include resume review and building, interview best practices, and ideas for places to consider new employment opportunities.  More information and tools for employees impacted by RIF can be found at the OSHR website.

Informational Interviews

Talent Consultants will work with current and prospective employees to provide guidance and best practices on resume writing, interviewing skills, resources to look for the right jobs.  Please contact a Talent Consultant for more information.

Programs and Trainings

Dual Career Assistance

Human Resources offers a Dual Career Assistance program designed to assist you in your relocation to North Carolina. This program aids your spouse/partner in transitioning their career to the greater Raleigh area by providing resume and application development expertise, job search assistance, and local resources for relocation, child education, and healthcare

Reduction in Force Workshops

In the event that multiple employees are separated from the University due to a large-scale reduction-in-force, Talent Consultants will hold RIF Workshops to support employees in the transition to seeking new employment.  Workshops will include resume review and building, interview best practices, and ideas for places to consider new employment opportunities.  More information and tools for employees impacted by RIF can be found at the OSHR website.

HR Academy and Other Trainings

Talent Solutions offers trainings as part of the HR Academy program. Current courses include Position Management and Compensation Administration, Recruitment and Selection, PeopleAdmin 7, and PeopleAdmin 7: Tips and Tricks.
